The Fat CatŪ Account
Members of Chinook Credit Union up to the age of 10 years are eligible to become FAT CATŪ members. This Savings Account is a great way to introduce children to the concept of money management and good saving habits. The purchase of $1.00 in common shares is required.

- An attractive interest rate
- No minimum balance required
- Birthday cards sent annually (0 - 10 years)
- No statement fee
- Automatically changed to a HeadStart account on the member's 11th birthday
HeadStart Account
Available to members 11 - 18 years of age, this combination chequing/savings account helps young people get a HEADSTART on good money management. The purchase of $1.00 in common shares is required.
Features include:
- No service charges – all regular financial transactions free of charge
- An attractive interest rate
- No minimum balance required
- Automatically changed to a 'Personal Chequing Account' on the member's 19th birthday, unless attending a recognizable post-secondary institution, in which case the account will be changed to a Student Choice account.
- MemberCard debit cards and cheques available to members 11 years and older if the account is co-signed by a parent or guardian.
